Assistant Manager – Compliance

About the Role:

Join MUFAP’s Regulatory Affairs Division as an Assistant Manager – Compliance and play a key role in promoting ethical conduct and strengthening compliance oversight across Pakistan’s fund management industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance by regulated persons and registered service providers with MUFAP’s regulatory framework and Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain compliance reports, inspection records, and follow-up status updates.
  • Review periodic compliance submissions and disclosures from members.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing non-compliances, including support in implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting with internal teams and SECP.
  • Support the preparation of annual compliance summaries and other regulatory submissions.

Qualification/Educational and Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, or risk management within a financial institution or regulatory body.
  • Familiarity with NBFC and VPS regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance standards.

About the Role:

Join MUFAP’s Regulatory Affairs Division as an Assistant Manager – Regulatory Development and contribute to shaping the regulatory framework of Pakistan’s fund management industry. The role focuses on regulatory policy development, industry research, and regulatory standardization initiatives to strengthen investor protection and support the growth of Pakistan’s mutual fund and pension industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop regulatory proposals based on international best practices, industry feedback, and impact analysis.
  • Periodically review MUFAP Regulations, Procedures, and Code of Conduct and propose improvements where required.
  • Conduct industry research, comparative studies, and global benchmarking of regulatory frameworks.
  • Review Trust Deeds, Offering Documents, and Supplemental Offering Documents to ensure compliance with SECP-prescribed formats.
  • Support the standardization of regulatory documents, including Fund Manager Reports and Key Fact Statements.
  • Assist in the periodic review of digital onboarding processes to align with international best practices and recommend enhancements to SECP.
  • Contribute to the development of frameworks for digital reporting, investor protection, and regulatory transparency.
  • Develop and apply financial models for impact analysis and sensitivity assessment of regulatory developments.

Qualification/Educational and Experience requirements:

  • Candidates who have cleared CFA Level II or above will be preferred.

About the Role:

MUFAP is seeking an Officer – Regulatory Development to support regulatory research, policy analysis, and regulatory documentation within the Regulatory Affairs Division.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analytical studies on regulatory policy, market reforms, and industry development initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of policy papers, consultation responses, and regulatory proposals.
  • Assist in reviewing regulatory documents, including Trust Deeds, Offering Documents, and related regulatory submissions.
  • Compile and analyze industry data and trends, including benchmarking against international regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop financial models and impact assessments to evaluate proposed regulatory measures and industry reforms.
  • Support the preparation of reports and policy submissions for the Chief Regulatory Officer and Regulatory Affairs Committee.

Manager – Regulatory Reporting & Registr

About the Role:

MUFAP, the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) for Pakistan’s fund management industry, invites applications for the position of Manager – Regulatory Reporting & Registration within its Regulatory Affairs Division.

The role will oversee regulatory reporting, registration, and renewal processes for Regulated Persons and Registered Service Providers, ensuring compliance with MUFAP’s regulatory framework and timely reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

Roles & Responsibilities:

Regulatory Reporting

  • Manage reporting requirements under the MUFAP Regulations, including monitoring periodic reports submitted by Regulated Persons.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of regulatory reports to SECP.
  • Monitor reporting timelines and follow up with members on outstanding submissions.
  • Maintain reporting records and prepare internal reporting summaries for the CRO and Regulatory Affairs Committee.

Registration & Renewals

  • Manage the registration process for Regulated Persons and Registered Service Providers, including review of applications and supporting documentation.
  • Oversee annual renewals and re-registration requirements in accordance with MUFAP Regulations.
  • Maintain and update the official registry and records of regulated persons and registered service providers.
  • Coordinate with applicants and stakeholders regarding registration requirements and regulatory compliance.

Coordination & Monitoring

  • Liaise with SECP, members, and industry stakeholders on registration and reporting matters.
  • Support the development and improvement of reporting systems and regulatory documentation processes.
  • Assist in implementing digital reporting systems and regulatory data management initiatives.

Qualifiation/Educational and Experience requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • CFA Charterholders or candidates who have cleared Level III will be preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, financial sector regulation, or industry oversight.
  • Strong understanding of SECP’s NBFC, mutual fund, and pension fund regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools for regulatory reporting and analytics will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and data management skills.
  • Ability to manage regulatory processes and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
